Eating disorders are complex and unique from person to person, which is why your treatment should be unique, too. Anxiety, depression, trauma, weight stigma, sensory differences and lived experiences all impact your road to healing. Together we will honor these experiences while collaborating to create a healthier and happier way of living.
Do you find it hard to make decisions around food because you're paralyzed by food rules? Does the idea of eating when you're hungry and stopping when you're satisfied feel impossible? Is eating the primary way you deal with emotions? We can help you make sense of your past dieting experiences and find food freedom.
Let's raise a generation of kids who don't struggle with food and body issues! Diet culture is engrained in many aspects of our society, however we can set our kids up for success by allowing them to listen to and trust their internal cues.
Let's chat about what you're looking for and determine if we'd be a good fit to work together!
Block off about 90 minutes of time to have our first virtual meeting. Make sure you have a (relatively) distraction free and comfortable setting available.
Before our first session, you will be asked to fill out paperwork including background information, medical history and other pertinent details for working together.
We'll spend about 75-90 minutes getting to know each other, digging into your history with food and body and mapping out a plan going forward.
Nutrition counseling isn’t just about the food. I take into consideration all aspects of health including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. My goal is to help you explore your food and body relationships with curiosity, not judgment. I consider it a privilege to work with others on undoing the harm that diet culture has caused and find a more peaceful way to interact with food.
I have worked in the eating disorder field for over 12 years and am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
Flourish Nutrition is guided by the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES), which emphasize finding joy in movement, honoring internal body cues, and prioritizing overall well-being over weight-centric goals.
We reject diet culture and the pursuit of weight loss as a means to achieve health. Instead, we focus on helping clients develop a positive relationship with food, promoting intuitive eating, and finding pleasure in eating nourishing foods.
Join others in a small group setting to dig into diet culture, debunk nutrition myths and learn the principles of Intuitive Eating. This course is a 12 week series and has a limit of 6 attendees.
Thanks so much! Your information has been submitted and I'll be in touch in the next 48 business hours.
